Welcome to SOCY 3300, Social Problems!

I'm really looking forward to all we can do and learn this semester. There are four things you need to do to get started:

First, make sure you read ALL of the Course Syllabus. This is essential. It is your responsibility to be familiar with the syllabus, assignments, and due dates! And I'm serious about this! Be sure to pay particular attention to the information about academic honesty.
Second, keep an eye on the Announcement List regularly. Not only will you see consistently updated information about the course, but you'll also find the Virtual Office where you can post questions, and I can reply with answers that would be helpful to all in the course.
Third, if you're new to Canvas, browse through the Canvas Student Quickstart Guide (click here to open in a new tab).
Finally, click on the Modules and the Assignment List to get started in the course. In the Assignment List, you'll find an "Introductions" discussion forum where you can earn some extra credit right off the bat. The Modules page is where you'll want to check in every week for readings, videos, and assignments.
